The Team
The pilots of the Patrouille Suisse originally come from one of the F/A-18 Hornet frontline squadrons. Their role as display pilots is performed alongside their primary duties of maintaining air superiority and ensuring air policing over Switzerland. The fact that the pilots of the Patrouille Suisse perform their display pilot duties as a secondary role highlights their versatility and commitment to Switzerland.
Tiger F-5E
Since 1995, the Patrouille Suisse has been flying the F-5 Tiger. In contrast to many other demonstration teams, the Patrouille Suisse utilizes a combat aircraft actively employed by the air force, showcasing the readiness and skill of its pilots.
