Patrouille Suisse - Team
Pilots
The pilots of the Patrouille Suisse originally come from one of the F/A-18 Hornet frontline squadrons. Their role as display pilots is performed alongside their primary duties of maintaining air superiority and ensuring air policing over Switzerland. The fact that the pilots of the Patrouille Suisse perform their display pilot duties as a secondary role highlights their versatility and commitment to Switzerland.
In this globally unique constellation, the pilots of the Patrouille Suisse represent not only the technical capabilities of the Swiss Air Force but also its commitment to precision and professionalism.
Ground Crew: Precision on the Ground
Precision and accuracy: These two qualities not only characterize the flying skills of the Patrouille Suisse pilots but are also lived behind the scenes. It's the precise and efficient work of the ground crew that enables the Patrouille Suisse to take to the skies in the first place. Every day, aircraft, equipment, and weapons mechanics, as well as avionics specialists from the repair squadron, along with plane captains from flight operations, and logistics personnel responsible for all transportation and vehicle matters, make significant contributions to maintaining operational readiness. With their extensive expertise, they ensure that the aircraft are always handed over to the pilots in flawless and timely condition.
At home and abroad, we give our best to ensure the operational readiness of the aircraft. We are proud to be part of the Patrouille Suisse.
