Study «Discrimination and sexualised violence»
Survey on discrimination and sexualised violence in the Swiss Armed Forces
As part of the Gender Equality Strategy 2030 of the Federal Government, the Specialised Office for Women in the Armed Forces and Diversity (WiAD) was commissioned to conduct a survey on discrimination and sexualised violence based on gender and/or sexual orientation in the Swiss Armed Forces.
The Federal Council adopted the Equality Strategy 2030 on 28 April 2021. This is the first time that a national strategy has been put forward to specifically promote gender equality.
WiAD conducted this survey together with the YouGov (formerly LINK) research institute between January and March 2023.
Participation in the survey was anonymous and voluntary. The invitation to participate was issued directly and personally to a representative group of members of the Armed Forces.
A comprehensive web dossier [link in German with some documents in English] is available on the study and the measures, including information on FAQs.
