stratos 1-26 | Elements of (new) military thinking
Against a backdrop of geopolitical upheavals, the articles in stratos 1–26 argue for a renewal of military thinking in Switzerland. Such a renewal is necessary, as a marked decline in the culture of military thinking has been observed in our country since the 1990s. This should not be accepted, for in a modern armed forces such reflection is not an academic luxury, but an instrument of coherence. A lack of sound knowledge, on the other hand, can result in an excess of improvisation.
The articles in stratos 1–26 address various aspects of this issue and examine, at different levels, the particular demands placed on military thinking in the present day.
