Diversity in the Swiss Armed Forces
The Swiss Armed Forces is for everyone. An Armed Forces for everyone who is able and willing to serve. Whatever your religion, language or gender, we want to find the right place for everyone.
Diversity is an opportunity. The Armed Forces command has unanimously declared its support for a culture of inclusion. This includes all aspects of diversity. The motto is: a Swiss Armed Forces for everyone.
In the future, the Armed Forces aims to be even better at finding the right place for everyone – whatever their religion, language or gender.
In line with the Federal Government's 2030 Gender Equality Strategy, the proportion of women in our conscript Armed Forces should be increased. Men as well as women are valued for all their character traits, peculiarities and talents. There is no place for discrimination in the Armed Forces.
It is the responsibility of the Armed Forces to create a culture in which diversity is dealt with consciously, respectfully and productively. A culture from which everyone can benefit.
