Museums, collectors and associations

Wherever possible, historical equipment of the armed forces is offered to accredited institutions and, if required, made available free of charge.

Passing on any historical military equipment that has been obtained free of charge to a third party for private or commercial purposes is forbidden.

• Accreditation

  Interested museums, collectors or associations in Switzerland can apply to the CHEAF to become accredited.

• Radioactivity

  Institutions accommodating radioactive historical equipment must follow radiation protection regulations.

• Distribution of equipment

  Surplus historic military equipment is given to accredited institutions exclusively.
