MSc Sébastien Gillard
Sébastien Gillard received a MSc in Physics from the University of Fribourg in 2016. He specialized himself in Computational Physics and Statistics. Currently, he is a PhD student in Information Systems at the University of Geneva and works as scientific assistant in Defense Economics at the Military Academy (MILAC) at ETH Zurich. Sébastien´s main research interests are in the Cyber-defense and the Cyber-threats Intelligence by analyzing of the underlying mechanisms and developing new methods in order to understand cooperation processes and improve these fields. In this vein, he has implemented econometrics models on data from cyber-threats information sharing platform and is currently developing a two layers agent-based model to study the cooperation and collective intelligence in these fields. He has published in the book: «The Security of Critical Infrastructures» in 2020, and has participated to the Workshop on the Economics of Information Security (WEIS) in 2022, awarded by a future publication in the Journal of Cybersecurity. Furthermore, Sébastien is broadly interested in Computer Science, Data Analysis, Evolutionary Game Theory and Collective Intelligence.
