The SWISSINT personnel marketing team travels around Switzerland to demonstrate the many different ways individuals can participate in peacebuilding. The team are supported by highly skilled and experienced men and women. They provide information about the different missions taking place all over the world at public events, large exhibitions, and through appearances in various cities, universities and technical colleges as well as at numerous recruit and leadership schools of the Swiss Armed Forces.

SWISSINT’s personnel marketing team also provides information online via conference calls and livestreams on current missions, applications and recruitment, and answers questions about military peacekeeping.

Personal conversations with people who have experience serving on SWISSINT missions can give great insights into the day-to-day of military peacebuilding.

With its info mobile, the SWISSINT Centre of Competence has a multimedia-equipped vehicle to go on roadshows and take part in military and civilian events all over Switzerland. Always in attendance are mission-experienced members of the SWISSINT marketing team.

Humanitarian demining is a focus of the Swiss Armed Forces’ military peacebuilding efforts. An educational trail on mines and the problems they present helps raise awareness among the Swiss population.

Interactive digital media offer visitors information on the opportunities available that would suit their skill-set, and explain how they can apply to serve on a mission.

Special vehicles designed for international military peacebuilding missions are fascinating to many because of the technology they employ and because they are so rarely seen. Attendees of the SWISSINT’s public events can admire these vehicles up close.

Going on patrol in virtual reality will give you an idea of what a peacekeeping mission might be like – and may even inspire you to go on a mission yourself one day.

The many forms of military peacebuilding are made visible at the information booths of the SWISSINT Centre of Competence.
