Compliance & Controlling

The Compliance and Controlling Management unit (CCM) acts as a key support function for the MAA executive board, providing oversight across compliance, quality, and controlling domains. Much like a Flight Management System continuously cross-checks navigation data, detects deviations from the planned flight path and initiates timely corrections to keep the aircraft on course, the CCM unit ensures that MAA processes are monitored independently and on a consistent basis. It identifies process deviations, investigates their underlying causes, and formulates targeted recommendations and corrective actions.

Through audits and inspections, the CCM evaluates adherence to established processes and produces reports on behalf of the Director MAA. These insights enable the Director MAA to set meaningful performance objectives and track their fulfilment. Beyond monitoring, the CCM unit oversees the embedding of quality and risk control mechanisms into operational workflows, and drives the continuous improvement cycle forward.

The MAA operates under a corporate and quality policy centred on a fundamental objective: establishing the regulatory and organisational framework that enables the safe operation of military air systems. Fulfilling this mandate demands a well-functioning authority — one that upholds rigorous standards, ensures process integrity, and holds itself to the same principles it oversees.
