In an inclusive Armed Forces, all members of the Armed Forces can develop their potential and participate. This creates ideal conditions for the collective fulfilment of the mandates. To reach this goal it is necessary for the Armed Forces to ensure the psychological safety and to understand and uphold its duty of care towards troops in a holistic manner. More specifically, this means that the Armed Forces accept all its members in their entire existence, welcomes them, provides for them, educates them and protects them from accidents, in illness, but also from discrimination as well as sexualised and all other forms of illegitimate violence. This creates a unity in which the shared fulfilment of the mandates builds on mutual trust, respect and dependability.
