‘Promoting peace – our mission’. As a rolling screen, the Road Show has been en route in Switzerland since 2009. Bringing the peace operations of the Swiss Armed Forces abroad closer to the people, that is the idea behind the SWISSINT Road Show. The lessons learnt from 11 current and 53 past missions in which Switzerland is or has been involved are presented over an area of approximately 40 square metres. Video projections give the the visitor a better understanding of peace operations. Details on the missions as well as films and photographs can be downloaded at two computer terminals. Snapshots from the everyday life of Swiss peace soldiers are presented as pictures on the walls. Individual questions posed by visitors are answered by men and women (presentation officers) who have served in peace operations themselves or are about to go on a mission again.
