The Armed Forces Staff (AFS) is responsible for implementing the political directives and instructions at the military strategic level. In addition it ensures development, planning, allocation of resources and command and control of the armed forces. By means of its directives, the Armed Forces Staff controls training, operations and support at the operational level.
The Armed Forces Staff comprises the following sectors

- Staff Operational Training / Doctrine (SCOS / Doctrine)
- International Relations Defence (IR D)
- Military Real Estate Management Defence (REM D)
