The WEF serves as a discussion platform for representatives from politics, business, science and culture for global topics such as health, environment and more. It is held once annually in Davos.
The CSO provides specialists, infrastructure, and trans-mission apparatus for establishing and running a variety of communication networks for the WEF. They build speech transmission networks in the area of Davos, equip several hundred members of the civilian security forces with walkie-talkies and school them in their operation.
In addition several terminals are installed in various police stations and the operation of the networks as well as transmission logistics ensured. During the WEF a 24-hour standby service is maintained. Here the CSO pri-marily assists the security services in communications, so that network interference or even failures can be recognised early on.
